Ms. Becket received her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, a Masters of Arts in Special Education from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Davis. Ms. Becket is admitted to practice in all California State Courts.
Before joining Stansbury Brown Law, PC, Ms. Becket worked as an associate at a top Pasadena appellate firm, where she gained valuable experience successfully contesting dispositive motions and drafting appellate briefs. She then served at a highly regarded civil rights firm where her practice involved many plaintiff-side employment matters. As a result, her experience in this area encompasses victories in both lower and higher courts.
Ms. Becket has received recognition for her high-quality legal work from the beginning of her career, with her first appellate win coming while still a post-bar clerk. Her passion and commitment to excellence was also recognized by Loyola Law School, which awarded her the National Association of Women Attorneys Outstanding Graduate Award, the American Law Institute Scholarship & Leadership Award, and Honors in Public Interest Law.
Ms. Becket is deeply committed to ensuring all persons, regardless of resources, have access to justice. To that end, she serves on the California Lawyers Association (“CLA”) Access to Justice Committee, performs pro bono work, and serves on the California Appellate Project (“CAP”) indigent panel. She is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (“CAALA”) and the California Employment Lawyers Association (“CELA”), in addition to CLA. In law school, Ms. Becket chaired the Employment Law Society, founded the Impact Litigation Coalition, and served as a peer writing tutor.
In her free time Ms. Becket enjoys playing basketball, yoga, gardening, cooking and baking.
